Description
Holy Trinity is a concerto for flute, trumpet, and violin with hybrid orchestra, conceived as part of a broader reflection on mediation, presence, and instrumental identity.
The work is conceived as a flexible performance system, allowing different configurations of live performers and digitally realized orchestral layers. Rather than functioning as a traditional concerto with a fixed solo–tutti hierarchy, the three solo instruments form a shifting triadic constellation, constantly redefined by the surrounding hybrid orchestral environment.
Depending on the performance context, the orchestral material may be realized acoustically, digitally, or through a combination of both.
The piece belongs to a larger compositional cycle developed during the composer’s transition from the United States to Germany, reflecting on continuity, transformation, and the redistribution of agency between human performers, notation, and technological systems.
